What ages can participate?

The program is open to youth athletes from ages 6 to 14, with divisions based on age and weight to ensure safe and competitive play. For Cheer, we accept ages 4-14 as well.

How do I register my child?

Registration is completed  at in-person sign-up events. Required documents include a birth certificate, proof of residency, and a physical exam form which will be asked for at a later date.

When does the season start and end?

The season typically starts with summer practices in July, with games running from August through November, including playoffs for qualifying teams.

Are there weight limits for football players?

Yes, Yucaipa JAAF follows age and weight-based divisions to ensure safety and fair competition.

What equipment is provided, and what do parents need to buy?

The league provides helmets, shoulder pads, and one mouthguard. Parents are responsible for purchasing additional gear like cleats, additional mouthguards, and socks. Please see the website for additional information on the registration package as this changes from year to year.

What are the different football divisions?

Divisions include Flag, Jr. Micro, Micro, Jr. Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Midget, and 7v7 League, depending on age and weight requirements.

Is there a cheer program?

Yes! Yucaipa JAAF offers a cheerleading program for youth interested in supporting teams and competing in cheer events.

How often do teams practice?

Before the season, teams usually practice 4-5 days per week. Once games begin, practices are reduced to 2-3 days per week.

Where are games played?

Home games are played locally at Yucaipa High School, while away games take place at other Junior All American Football conference locations.

Is travel required?

Yes, some games require travel to nearby cities within the Southern California Junior All American Football Conference.

Do parents need to volunteer?

Yucaipa JAAF relies on volunteers for coaching, team parents, snack bar duties, and game-day operations. ​You can opt out of ​volunteer requirements with a buyout ​fee. See a board member for more information.

What rules are different between SoCal Jr. All American League and Pop Warner leagues?
